Photo Transfer with Encaustic Workshop

Join exhibiting artist Annette Wiguna for an introductory lesson into alternative photography processes. Capture a snippet of your home or garden into small encaustic painting using photo transfer techniques and wax medium. 

Using printed photos of your favourite room, corner, or view of your home or garden, learn how to make basic encaustic medium and the process of transferring these images onto small plywood boards. Add textures and inscriptions using the same medium and pottery tools. Participants will make 2-3 paintings in the session.

Suitable for all skill levels from beginner to experienced makers.

MATERIALS

Bring along up to five (A5) laser or toner printed photos of your favourite room, corner, or view of your home or garden. You will learn the process of transferring the photos onto plywood boards using encaustic medium. You will make 2-3 paintings in one session.
