Would you like to live creatively while being mindful of your impact on the environment? Join textile and visual artist Annette Wiguna, as she takes you on a journey of botanical printing (aka ecoprint) by using all natural substances that are affordable and easily accessible from your pantry.
In this All Natural Ecoprint workshop, the focus will be on making soy milk binder, rust water, vinegar soak, and tannin baths without the use of powdered metallic salts. You will be provided with fabric samples of various compositions and a handout. The skills that you will learn in this workshop will enable you to revive old and stained garments, extend the life of expired pantry goods, and foster appreciation for the local native plants near you.
Please bring with you:
Non slip footwear, 2 old towels, a face mask, a pair of gloves (heat resistant gloves are preferred but not essential)
Your own water and refreshment.
